- Pork Vindaloo: Vinegar and garlic are used for seasoning the pork. Formerly it was prepared as a stew. The Goans palm sap vinegar and spices add a different flavor to the item. You can also use prawns, chicken and meat instead of pork for this preparation.
- Chicken Xacuti: Coriander leaves, nutmeg, ginger, red and green chilies and cloves are used for this spicy preparation. Lemon juice and tamarind are also used for this curry. The chefs also prepare this dish with mutton instead of chicken.
- Bibinca: It is a sweet dish. Flour, coconut milk, ghee, sugar, coconut juice are used for the preparation.
- Sorpotel: This item is prepared with boneless pork and toddy vinegar. Clove, garlic, cumin seed, red dried chillies, cinnamon, green chillies ginger, and pepper are also made used for the preparation. For better taste you can reheat the item.
- Fish Curry: To make a fine paste, grounded coconut is mixed with turmeric powder, red chillies, cumin seeds, peppercorns, garlic, coriander seeds and ginger. With a cup of water and salt, tamarind juice, sliced onions, kokum and dried mango are added. Fish is added after that. The locals usually prefer this fish curry.
